1. Pre-Sentence Investigation
Report--- A background investigation which assesses offender risks
and needs in order to provide the Court with more information before sentence
is passed. It is designed to maximize the effectiveness of early
supervision.
2. Screening / Testing--- A process
to determine if any special needs must be addressed during early supervision.
Such special needs can include:
a. Drug abuse
b. Alcohol abuse
c. Educational deficiencies
d. Employment
e. Aggressive behavior
f. Psychological Evaluation
3. Diagnostics Unit---
Special unit dedicated to pre-sentence or post-sentence investigations,
testing, assessment and referrals for rehabilitative needs and planning
for effective supervision which may require a psychological evaluation.
